Privacy Policy

msmetools (“we”, “our”, “us”) is operated by Sumeet Yadav (msmetools), Goa, India. We provide free business tools (calculators and document generators), verified compliance and information articles, and a technology-centre directory.

In short:

• Your Toolbox, saved documents and preferences stay in your browser's local storage on your device
• No user accounts and no advertising networks; Google Analytics and PostHog measure site usage (with consent in Europe)
• Standard technical data (such as your IP address) is handled by our hosting and security providers to deliver the site
• If you contact us by WhatsApp or email, we receive what you choose to send

Calculators and document generators run in your browser. The numbers, business details and logos you enter are processed on your device and are not sent to us.

There are no user accounts and no sign-in. Your Toolbox (favourites, history and saved documents) is stored only in your browser’s local storage on the device you are using. Nothing in it is sent to us, it does not sync between devices, and we cannot see, recover or restore it. Clearing your browser’s site data, or using a private window, will remove it.

We use your browser’s local storage only to remember your preferences (such as your selected country) and your Toolbox. We also use analytics cookies from Google Analytics 4 and PostHog to understand which pages and tools are used and how many people contact us; in the EU, EEA, UK and Switzerland these stay off until you accept them. We do not set advertising cookies. Our CDN and security provider, Cloudflare, may set a strictly necessary security cookie (such as __cf_bm) to protect the site from bots and abuse. Like any website, delivering pages to you involves technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the page requested. This is processed by the providers that host and deliver the site:

• Cloudflare, which serves and protects the site and may keep short-lived security and request logs
• Our image storage at cdn.msmetools.com (Cloudflare R2)
• Flag images loaded from flagcdn.com and some images loaded from images.unsplash.com; these services receive your IP address and browser details when your browser fetches the image

Fonts are self-hosted with the site, so no request is made to Google Fonts when you browse. We do not use this technical data to identify or profile you.

If you message us on WhatsApp or by email (for example about a correction or our growth-consultation service), we receive your name, phone number or email address and whatever you write. We use it only to reply to you and, if you ask, to discuss or provide the service. WhatsApp and your email provider process these messages under their own privacy policies. Our contact form does not store or send anything itself: it simply opens WhatsApp or your email app with your message filled in.

We do not sell, rent or share personal data for advertising. We run no advertising networks and have switched off Google's advertising features. Analytics data (pages viewed, approximate location from IP, device and browser type, and clicks on our WhatsApp/email buttons) is processed by Google and PostHog on our behalf to improve the site, and is not used to build advertising profiles. PostHog may also record anonymised session replays (how pages are scrolled and clicked) to help us fix confusing pages; text you type into forms and calculators is masked and never recorded.

Depending on where you live (for example under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, the GDPR or UK GDPR), you may have the right to:

• Ask what personal data we hold about you (usually only messages you have sent us)
• Ask us to correct or delete it
• Withdraw consent or object to processing
• Complain to your local data-protection authority

Toolbox data is on your device, so you can view or delete it yourself at any time.

We keep messages you send us only as long as needed to respond and, for consultation clients, for as long as required for the engagement and any legal or accounting obligations. You can ask us to delete your messages at any time.

msmetools is intended for business users and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

If our practices change, for example if advertising is added, we will update this page and the “Last updated” date above before the change takes effect.
