2. What We Use
Today we use storage only to:
- Remember your selected country and display preferences
- Keep your Toolbox (favourites, history and saved documents) on this device
- Let our CDN, Cloudflare, protect the site from bots and abuse
- Measure visits, popular pages and clicks on our contact buttons with Google Analytics 4 and PostHog
We do not use advertising cookies, and we have turned off Google advertising features (ad storage, ad personalisation and ad user data are always denied).

4. External Resources
Some images are loaded from flagcdn.com and images.unsplash.com, and our own images from cdn.msmetools.com. These requests share your IP address and browser details with those services so the image can be delivered; we do not use them to track you. Fonts are self-hosted, so no request is made to Google Fonts.
5. Managing Storage
You can block cookies or clear site data in your browser settings at any time. Because there are no accounts, clearing site data for msmetools will permanently remove your Toolbox and preferences on that device — download any documents you want to keep first.
6. Your Choice
If you visit from the EU, EEA, UK or Switzerland, analytics cookies stay off until you click Accept on our banner; before that, Google Analytics may only receive cookieless signals (Google Consent Mode) and PostHog keeps nothing on your device. Everywhere else analytics is on by default.
You can change your choice at any time with Cookie settings at the bottom of every page. Declining turns analytics off on this device.
7. Updates to This Policy
If we add advertising or any new tracking, we will update this policy before doing so and ask for consent where required.
